Junior AI Engineer (Part-time)

Location: Bournemouth
Hours: Part-time, 2-3 days per week (flexible scheduling — we’ll work around your course or exam timetable if you’re studying)
Salary: From £13 per hour (depending on experience)

We’re after someone who’s early in their AI journey but already building, experimenting, and thinking critically about how AI can be used in the real world. You might not have years of experience, but you’ve got curiosity, initiative, and the technical or creative ability to bring ideas to life.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working closely with our CEO on AI-driven internal innovation projects

• Experimenting with the latest AI/ML models and techniques

• Building usable, functional software that solves real business challenges

• Applying creative problem-solving and taking ownership of projects
  

Who You Are

• Curious, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment

• Have a background in software engineering (e.g. a degree in computer science, machine learning or a related field, or experience building apps, tools, or APIs) or design/UX (e.g., prototyping, user testing) — with a strong focus on integrating or experimenting with AI

• Love tinkering, learning, and trying new things — whether it's fine-tuning a model, building a smart workflow, or exploring the ethical implications of AI

• Have hands-on experience with modern AI tools or platforms

• Local to Bournemouth and able to work from our office 2–3 days a week

• Comfortable with ambiguity, open to feedback, and excited to work closely with leadership on early-stage projects that shape how we work and think

• We encourage applications from anyone with the right skills and availability however this role may suit some currently studying or recently graduated
